Between the Two Dams is a collection of poems written in Maithili by Taranand Viyogi, which has been translated by Prabhat Jha in English. The poems written by Taranand Viyogi reflects upon many themes which are personal, social or political. The book is a gateway to the world of Mithila Lok. Lok in the sense of people as well as the land. Most of these poems center around the Koshi region or people belonging to that region. - Prabhat Jha is a writer, translator who writes in English.His poems have been published in Muse India , Odd Magazine and a short story has been published inAnti-Serious . He also is the co-editor of a Poetry Journal called Collage . Apart from writing poetry he is also a playwright and an actor. He is one of the founders of a literary group called Graffiti, and part of a cultural group called Chorus, which is dedicated towards Gender Issues.
