Breaking News (A Crime Thriller Novel)

When the anonymously written hard copy manuscript of an unauthorized biography about famous media mogul Rajesh Singhania, titled 'Breaking News', lands on literary agent Rohini Mehra's desk, one morning, it kicks off a frantic day of battles between those trying to get it published and those trying to bury it, putting everyone's lives in danger, and resulting in many killings. Powerful and murderous forces, whose secret agendas and nefarious activities would get exposed by the book, if it gets published, try to destroy every copy of this manuscript and erase everyone who has read it. Told over the course of just one day, Joygopal Podder's book 'Breaking News' combines, into an action-packed crime thriller, the book publishing industry, Pakistani secret agent infiltrators in the Indian Intelligence Bureau (IB), literary agents and acquisitions editors, film production houses, a huge media conglomerate – Singhania Media Network – that owns TV news channels and news websites, and ruthless killers.
