The present book has as many as four chapters. Chapter 1 “The Absurd Theatre” is about the history of the western absurd theatre. Chapter 3 “The Absurd in Harold Pinter’s Later Plays” analyses The Homecoming, Landscape, Old Times, No Man's Land and Betrayal. Chapter 4 “Adaptations and Screenplays of Harold Pinter’s Plays” is a critical survey of the adapted plays. The latter part of the chapter examines Pinter’s screenplays.
