Life and Beyond (Short Stories)

The twelve short stories in Life And Beyond focus on the extraordinary experiences of ordinary people, be it men, women, children, even animals and plants in the villages of India. What will Ila and her mother Lakshmi do when no peasant is ready to work in their “ghost-possessed” farm on the bank of the Godavari river? Will Goodwin and Annjelin ever find Kunji, their much loved pet, a stray cat? Did the purple and black butterfly whisper anything special in Chandran’s ears that Sunday morning? These emotionally intricate and exquisitely crafted short stories are joyous and gorgeous bringing out the ordinary human within each one of us
