Parivrnhanam: Social Sector Issues of North East India is an edited volume of peer reviewed articles of research scholar and faculty members of different educational institutions of Assam. The articles based on both primary and secondary data use simple statistical and econometric tools to critically analyse some of the issues relating to health, education, environment and also sustainable development. The findings of the articles also provide some empirical policy implications to improve employability among youth through vocational training, association between reproductive health and fertility level, analysis of wetland ecosystem and also different dimensions of higher education in Assam and north-eastern region. The policy derivatives may be valuable for location specific policy framing and driving the economies towards sustainability in the long run. About the Editors Dr. Ronjit Khanikar is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics of Jagannath Barooah University (erstwhile Jagannath Barooah College), Jorhat Assam. Prior to the joining of his current institution, he has worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, H.C.D.G. College, Nitaipukhuri, Sivasagar for about 12 years. Mr. Ritopan Borah is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Economics of Jagannath Barooah University (erstwhile Jagannath Barooah College), Jorhat Assam with more than 9 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level. He has also worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics in Madhya Kamrup College, Barpeta, Assam.
