About the book
The book Queer Literature: Identities, Resistance and the Disruption of Heteronormativity gives an insight into societies and offers new perspectives and cultural enrichment. Queer literature has come long way from the milestones of Virginia Woolf's 'Orlando' Giovanni's room to a boy's own story by Edwin White. The book discusses heteronormativity and gender binary in contemporary literature. It is a compendium of 18 research papers by teachers of English Literature and scholars across India and international level ranging from gender marginalization to intersectionality and the social constructions of gender. It also focusses on Lived Trauma and the act of resistance. The term queer no longer remains a taboo subject and it's quite germane and quite vogue in pieces of literature written in the 21st century. The scholars justified the title through their erudite writings which would be pragmatically beneficial for the teachers, research scholars and master degree students who are interested in queer literature and theory.
