SORALA (Nano-Novel)

Sorala - Sarala Devi Choudhurani or Sorala Debi as Gandhi affectionately addressed her and the way she liked to be addressed by Gandhi was among the earliest women activists in India – she was the founder of, perhaps the first All India Feminist Association, Bharat Stree Mahila Mandal; a powerful orator, a poetess, a musician who could enthrall her listeners with melodious songs and of exceptionally good manners and with no exaggeration, a striking beauty. She was the niece of Poet Laurette Rabindranath Tagore. On the very first sight, the first meeting, Gandhi was highly impressed and was deeply attracted by her exceptional qualities, her steadfast devotion towards the Indian Freedom Movement and passionate involvement in Women’s self-respect and emancipation struggles; and undoubtedly with her beauty and the womanliness in her.
