The Myna’s Melodies - Poetry of Presence (Selected Poems of Dr. Molly Joseph)

Dr. Molly Joseph has an impressive oeuvre of poetic creation. It appears poetry comes so naturally to her that she is composing poems even while doing daily chores. Her love for nature, beauty, humanity, kindness, peace and tranquility peeps through her poems, which are set in the vernal setting of Kerala, and exude freshness as well as love for vegetation which is the foundational support for human life. Dr. Molly Joseph, in poem after poem, emphasises the need for ecological as well as logical balance of human mind. She is a crusader for a value-based living style, which she has been preaching as the Chief Coordinator of the International Academy of Ethics. The critical evaluation of her 55 poems carried out by Dr. Cijo Joseph Chennelil will provide to her readers, not only her beautiful poetry, but also the values which it celebrates.
