The Raconteur and Other Tales

'The Raconteur and Other Tales' is a collection of write-ups in forms of memoirs, poems, and short stories. The varied forms of storytelling are definitely going to give the reader a new experience. The theme of stories has a subtle mark of the struggle of women and men in the present times. Very often the pressure of “being accepted” in the society weighs heavy as one has made choices that are unique but are “unacceptable” to the society at large. The reader will be able to relate to each one of them. There is an underlying subtle message on mindfulness towards the environment, unsung heroes, toxic relationships, old age woes, families affected by crimes of passion. This collection has two stories that are prize winners of a short story contest organised by a popular newspaper in Bahrain.
