The Warriors of Darkness (Novel)

Opinion A well crafted narrative which has dared to bring the issue of child sexual abuse out of the closet. Societal attitudes, which tend to blame the victim rather than the perpetrator, have been delicately woven into the setting to drive home the obstacles that lie in the path of rehabilitating the hapless victims. No praise can be too high for the compassion and sensitivity with which the author has handled this extremely complex subject. The positive role that can be played by the immediate family in the rehabilitation process has come out loud and clear, and should serve as a clarion call for the kith and kin of other victims of sexual abuse. It also comes as a wake-up call for all conscientious citizens to work towards removing the stigma attached to these unfortunate victims. Arvind Menon, Editor & Critic
