Nidhi Jain

Biography

Dr. Nidhi Jain is Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Symbiosis International University, where she teaches Entrepreneurial Finance and Economics. She holds a Ph.D. in Management from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, with a dissertation on investor bias, risk propensity, and personality traits in financial decision-making, with a focus on women investors. She also holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing and has cleared the UGC-NET. Her research centers on behavioral finance, financial wellness, and sustainable and inclusive financial decision-making, with particular attention to gender and generational perspectives. She has also explored the intersection of mindfulness and personal finance, including a study on yoga's role in financial well-being, reflecting a broader interest in life-management skills and holistic decision-making. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed papers and book chapters published by Springer, IGI Global, Routledge, Bloomsbury, and Elsevier's Acta Psychologica, among others, and has presented her work at international conferences across India, Poland, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Finland. She currently serves as Editor of the International Journal of Applied Finance and Accounting (IJAFA) and is a review member of the American Journal of Business. She also reviews for a wide range of Scopus-indexed journals, books, and multidisciplinary conferences spanning finance, economics, management, and the social sciences, working with publishers such as Springer, IGI Global, and Inderscience. Prior to joining Symbiosis, she taught at Prestige Institute of Management & Research, Gwalior, where she coordinated internal assessment for the MBA program and contributed to NBA and NAAC accreditation efforts. She has received Best Paper awards and a Best Faculty Award, and holds lifetime membership in the International Association of Engineers (IAENG) and the Indian Accounting Association.
