Vivek Pathak

Biography

An Assistant Professor at the Center for Indian Knowledge Systems, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, this scholar holds a Ph.D. in Peace and Non-Violence Studies from Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, Wardha. The doctoral research focused on the social study of Khap Panchayats in Haryana. Academic qualifications also include an M.Phil. in Peace and Non-Violence Studies and multiple master's degrees in Gender and Development Studies, Sociology, Gandhi and Peace Studies, and Medieval History. A UGC-NET qualified scholar in History as well as in Buddhist, Jaina, Gandhian, and Peace Studies, the academic was awarded a Junior Research Fellowship by the Indian Council of Historical Research in 2017. Research interests encompass Medieval Indian History, Indian Knowledge Systems, Gender Studies, Sociology, and Gandhian Philosophy. Previous academic appointments include roles at Ram Jaipal College and Rajendra College under Jai Prakash University, before joining Teerthanker Mahaveer University in 2023.
