For Chirantan's inaugural issue, the Article Processing Charge (APC) is Rs. 1,200 per accepted article, charged only after a manuscript is recommended for publication - never at submission or during review. This is an introductory rate for the founding issue, as the journal works toward ISSN/eISSN registration; the fee structure for subsequent issues will be reviewed and published here separately once set. Chirantan is open access with no reader-side paywall - the APC covers editorial handling, formatting, hosting and archiving costs only, never publication itself. Authors facing genuine financial hardship should contact the editorial team before submitting.
If an article is retracted after the editorial decision of acceptance, a processing charge of 70% of the APC will be deducted from any refund. This applies only to articles that had already been accepted; a manuscript withdrawn before acceptance is never charged.
