Laboratory Manual for Ergonomics

This practical manual is beneficial for students of Family and Community Resource Management studying Ergonomics course. It is useful for both UG and PG students and also for teaching professionals in conducting various practicals and using ergonomic equipments. The main objective of preparing this manual is to help the students in using various ergonomic equipment to identify their body measurements and to properly apply the scores for getting correct results. The practical manual on ergonomics involves covering various aspects to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. It will also guide to measure the physical fitness index, BMI, grip strength of the subject: noise level of different areas, humidity, and light in the workplace, and hazards related to work. For easy understanding, a step-by-step procedure is explained for each of the equipment so that a beginner can operate it easily. It has covered equipments related to both physiological parameters and environmental parameters. About the Authors Dr. Sarjoo Patel is an Assistant Professor in Department of Family and Community Resource Management, Associate Director, B.Sc. Honors Interior Design, Associate Director, Post Graduate Diploma in Hotel Interiors, Department of Family and Community Resource Management, Faculty of Family and Community Sciences, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. She has authored 21 books, published more than 90 research papers in reputed Journals. She has guided several Post graduate and Ph.D. Students as guide. She has to her credit 3 Research Projects, 4 copyrights and 5 patents. Ms. Smita has 4 years of teaching experience and has published 12 research papers in reputed journals. She has authored 4 chapters in National and International books. She has presented many research papers in National and International Conferences and has received 2 Best paper presentation awards in International Conferences.
