Sustainable Tourism for Enriching the Future

The present book is a summary of the diverse facets of research within the tourism industry, from environmental conservation and cultural heritage preservation to technological innovation and community engagement. It is an outcome of the papers contributed by the scholars, academicians, and enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds to converge and deliberate on challenges and opportunities of sustainable tourism in the National Conference on "Preserving the Past, Enriching the Future: Multidimensional Approach Through Sustainable Tourism," organized by the Department of Family & Community Resource Management, Faculty of Family and Community Sciences, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. Through insightful presentations and rigorous academic inquiry, participants explored innovative strategies, best practices, and emerging trends aimed at reconciling heritage conservation imperatives with sustainable development's imperatives. It is hoped that this book will catalyse further dialogue, research, and action towards the realization of sustainable tourism practices that honour our collective heritage and enrich the future for generations to come. About the Authors Dr Sarjoo Patel has 25 years of teaching experience and her areas of interest include Resource Management, Interior Design, Environment Management, Ergonomics and Hospitality Management. She has authored 27 books, published more than 90 research papers in reputed Journals. Dr. Urvashi Mishra is an Assistant Professor in Department of Family and Community Resource Management, Faculty of Family and Community Science, the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. She has contributed 50 papers in International and National journals, 15 chapters in book, authored and co-authored 14 books and presented 26 papers in national and international seminars.
