About the book
Poems of this book are unconventional in tone and tenor, reverberating with human pains and joys.
Weal and woes, the trials and tribulations besetting the human life, encapsulating the lasting realities that compels the poet to capture them.
The poet has woven a garland of human sorrows and sufferings rendered in a uncommon style.
The poet has also indulged freely and unashamedly in lampooning well placed contractors of laws and legalities besides flailing so called protectors and providers who have been unmasked only to become predators and pilferers. Abortion of hopes and miscarriage of justice get fulminated in the poems.
Abortion of hopes and miscarriage of justice get fulminated in the poems. In passing special mention may be made of how the poet looks at the world around as in “The West Wind”. Contrary to P.B.Shelley’s stance, he beholds this world as a futile pageantry full of sound and fury remarkable for chaos and anarchy all around the world prophesying dooms day at last.
Orient vs Occident underlines that death is the ultimate reality through rosy tinted glass of west and spiritualism of the east.
In quest of dream rose, the poet’s struggle for achieving his goal has been highlighted with the concluding remark “But do hopes really die?”.
And again, My Muse is the elixir that helps the poet turn out poetic number and thus survive.
“Dark days are coming” is a sort of premonition born of ecological imbalance threatening the arrival of catastrophe and poet’s last warning.
Solitary Lunatic is a sort of biopic or pen picture of the poet himself searching his personal identity in the carnival of life.
Besides all, a number of love poems, nature poems are reflection of the poetic psyche of the poet.
Tremor depicts the picture of death and destruction following the earth in Gujrat capturing the dancing fire and pulsating anger of the fanatic groups.
For a helpless kid born in a remote hamlet of Madhubani district, the land of Mithila to become a poet of English language was nothing sort of an impossibility. However, the goddess Muse smiled on me and showered her poetic blessings at an early age so as to enable me to unravel her mysteries in times to come in the form of poetry.
Blessed with a social background remarkable for its education and learning of teacher’s family and thus I grew to be a born teacher lisping limericks that came as naturel to me as leaves to the trees.
The green verdure of pastoral surrounding and murmuring brooks around, I became dreamy eyed.
Ultimately education being over I landed myself in a school of some repute only to explain the subtitles and finer points of poetic numbers. The dream seemed to be turning into a reality when I found myself getting reckoned among the national poets of repute. My poem saw the light of the day in various magazines of the country and I was declared first prize winner by “The Asian Age”. It was followed by yet another sobriquet when my performance as a teacher came to be fully recognized and got honored with Nation Builder Award 2016 of the state of Bihar by Rotary India Literacy Mission.
Children and nature both remained the inspiring factor for my creativity. My poems are moreover the outcome of the day today happenings and the mirror of the society for generations recording the history.
