About the book
“Poetry is something that should create tranquility in human mind and thereby lead one to ‘Karma’. Anything that evokes mental tumult and agony is not poetry,” says Vishnu Narayanan Namboodiri.
“ Ennilirunnujanchorumthorumentekavitapoornamakunnu” [“My poetry becomes complete, wholesome when I get erased completely from it.’]
Vishnu strongly embraces modernity and at the same time pays great respect to the traditional. His poetry draw water and nutrients from basic Indian values and at the same time absorbs sunshine and fresh air from western civilization and literature.
