The actors, procedures, and structure of international politics have undergone significant change in the twenty-first century. The rise of new centres of influence is challenging the long-standing dominance of a few great countries, creating a more dynamic and complex international system. The progressive change from unipolarity to multipolarity, where emerging countries, regional organizations, and non-state players play important roles in influencing international decision-making and global governance. Rapid technological development, internet connectedness, and the growth of artificial intelligence have all changed how power, diplomacy, security, and economic competition are perceived. Moreover, climate change, pandemics, migration, cyber threats, energy instability, and geopolitical rivalry are some of the interconnected issues that further impact modern global politics.
